A tour of the Rum Factory was an enlightening experience. Because of its sugar industry Cuba was the fifth country in the world to have a railway system. Since the trade embargo most rum factories have closed down and there are only about 40 left (photo on the right by Anton)
Our last hours in Havana were spent at Cafe Escorial in Havana's beautifully restored Plaza de Armas. This caricaturist skilfully highlights the worst features of unsuspecting patrons (see ours on the home page).
